Job summary

Compunnel Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager to aid in the development of innovative food formulation technologies. This role will involve conducting trials, sensory evaluations, and maintaining laboratory standards. Ideal candidates will hold a B.S. in Food Science with relevant experience in a lab setting.

• Laboratory experience from degree coursework or work experience.
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.

• Aid in the development of new ingredient technology for food and beverage products
• Conduct bench top and pilot plant trials to optimize formulation and processes
• Perform functional evaluations of new ingredients and record results
• Perform sensory testing of prototypes
• Perform shelf-life and stability evaluations
• Coordinate team evaluations on a regular basis
• Submit prototypes and samples for analytical testing and compile results
• Performing sample analysis after training on analytical equipment
• Communicate with suppliers for ingredient requests and information
• Write progress reports
• Aid in maintenance of lab equipment
• Maintain and organize laboratory and supplies
• Ensure laboratory safety

Requirements:

• B.S. in Food Science or similar field and minimum 2 years experience
• Laboratory experience from B.S degree coursework or work experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good record-keeping and organization
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds
