Job summary

Ardent Health Services is seeking a day-shift, full-time Dietary Food Services Worker in Montclair, New Jersey. The role focuses on preparing and serving meals, maintaining food safety standards, and delivering friendly service to patients and guests.

You will work in a hospital kitchen, support meal delivery and tray setup, clean and sanitize areas, and follow sanitation codes. Previous food service experience is preferred, and compensation will reflect experience.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience (preferred).
• Ability to follow sanitation and health standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and build food items while providing customer service and adhering to food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Prepare and deliver food and trays, wash dishes, and clean the kitchen per health standards.
• Serve and replenish food from counters and steam tables.
• Prepare cold sandwiches and read recipes.
• Adhere to state sanitation codes and regulations.
• Follow break schedules and assist as assigned.
• Maintain excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward guests and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• The Food Service Worker is responsible for preparing and/or building food items while providing customer service and adhering to food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures
• Prepares and delivers food and trays, washes dishes, and cleans and sanitizes the kitchen according to health standards
• Serves and replenishes food from counters and steam tables
• Prepares cold sandwiches and reads recipes
• Adheres to State Sanitation codes and regulations
• Follows assigned break schedules
• Collects and strips trays for dish-washingif assigned
• Maintains excellent customer service and a positive attitude towardguests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Previous food service experience.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
