Job summary

Kellwell Food Management, a Correctional Food Service Provider, is hiring a Food Service Supervisor at the Whitfield County Jail in Dalton, GA. This is a part-time role with weekly pay and a starting rate of $19.00 an hour.

You will oversee inmates during meal preparation, ensure recipes and ingredients are followed, and maintain food safety standards in a bulk cooking setting. Experience in correctional food service is a plus; ServSafe certification or equivalent is preferred.

Role Description

We are looking for a food service supervisor to oversee inmates in preparing the meals for the day.

Your job duties will include, but not limited to:

• ensuring recipes are followed.
• ensuring correct ingredients/amounts are used.
• following food safety standards

We supervise and work with non-violent inmates.

Experience is bulk cooking facilities is , but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Food Preparation, Culinary Arts, and Food Sanitization
• Familiarity with Food Safety Protocols, Nutrition Standards, and Compliance Regulations
• Ability to work in a structured environment and adapt to a correctional facility setting
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Previous experience in correctional food service is a plus
