Job summary

HonorHealth’s Osborn Medical Center in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Part Time Food Service Representative for evening shifts. You will deliver patient trays during meal service, assist with food production, and help maintain a welcoming, patient-centered dining experience.

You will work under established standards, communicate using AIDET, and support the nursing staff with timely, accurate food service. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with preferred training in Food and Nutrition, plus

• Ability to handle food safely and maintain sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of patient trays during meal service within established time frames to ensure therapeutic accuracy, quality, freshness, taste and appearance standards are met.
• Assists patient with tray when assistance is requested.
• Demonstrates patient-focused customer service respecting ICARE service principles.
• Demonstrates understanding of nutrition and assists with appropriate menu selections for therapeutic diets when required.
• Responds to nursing staff needs for patient food care in a timely manner.
• Deliver tube feeds to the appropriate galley.
• Stock and restock your assigned work station of tray line during meal service and at shift end.
• Adhere to local health department sanitation standards and maintain a clean workspace.

Job Summary

• The Food Service Representative delivers patient trays during the meal service within established time frames to ensure therapeutic accuracy, quality, freshness, taste and appearance standards are met.
• They will also assist with the food production and assembly processes.

Essential Functions

• Delivery of patient trays during meal service within established time frames ensuring that therapeutic accuracy, quality; freshness taste and appearance standards are met.
• Announces self before entering room utilizing the AIDET protocols.
• Assists patient with tray should assistance is requested.
• Demonstrates patient focused customer service standards utilizing the ICARE service protocols.
• Demonstrates understanding of nutrition and discusses appropriate menu selection options with patients to meet therapeutic diet requirements when required.
• Properly respond to the nursing staff needs for patient food care in a timely manner.
• Deliver tube feeds to the appropriate galley.
• Stock and restock your assigned work station of tray line during meal service and at the end of your shift.
• Adhere to all Maricopa County Health Department Food Code sanitation standards.
• Maintains assigned work area according to those standards.

Education

• Preferred Technical Training Diploma/Degree
• Vocational/Specialized training
• Course work in Food and Nutrition

Experience

• food service experience in a healthcare environment
