Manage the operations of the food services finishing kitchen, which receives most of its food prepared by a central food preparation kitchen. The role may also involve providing limited food services for other on-site programs. The Food Services Kitchen Manager II is responsible for 500-899 meal equivalents.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of experience in food services.
  • Fairfax County Sanitation Certification within 45 days of hire.
  • Completion of the Fairfax County Public Schools manager in training program.
  • No infectious or communicable diseases that pose a risk of transmission through food handling.
  • Knowledge of institutional food preparation, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to organize, supervise, train, and evaluate staff.
  • Proficiency in operating kitchen equipment and related computerized programs.
  • Ability to interpret written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to recognize hazards and apply safe work methods.
  • Excellent customer service skills and effective communication.
