Job summary

Children’s Health in Plano seeks a Dietetic Aide/Sanitation professional to maintain cleanliness of food service areas, pots, pans, dishes, and equipment, and to retrieve dirty carts from patient units. The role is on-site with on-call shifts, contributing to safe, sanitary kitchen operations and patient care support.

Responsibilities include operating and cleaning dish machines, organizing service ware, assisting in food preparation as needed, and documenting temperatures for quality

Qualifications

  • Responsible for cleaning of food service areas, including kitchens, pots, pans, dishes, equipment.
  • Cleans floors, walls and ceilings and retrieves dirty carts from patient units.

  • Operates dishmachine and cleans dishes, trays, and pots using sanitizing processes.
  • Organizes pots, pans, dishes, and serviceware; maintains dish machine equipment.
  • Collects soiled trays and serviceware from patient units; assists in food preparation and line service as needed.
  • Operates and sanitizes kitchen equipment; completes temperature documentation for QA.

Job Type: On-Site

Summary: Responsible for proper cleaning of the food service areas, which includes general cleaning of kitchen pots, pans, dishes, equipment, floors, walls, and ceiling, and also retrieving dirty carts from patient units.

Responsibilities:

  • Operates dishmachine and related equipment. Cleans dishes, trays, serviceware, pots and pans using appropriate sanitizing process
  • Organizes pots, pans, dishes, servicewares, and places in appropriate location.Breaks down, cleans, and reassembles dish machine equipment.
  • Pick up soiled trays and serviceware from patient units a needed.Assists in food preparation and line service as needed.
  • Operate and routinely cleans / sanitizes kitchen equipment. Completes required documentation for quality improvement (including temperature documentation)
  • Performs miscellaneous job related duties as assigned.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • At least 1 year related experience Preferred

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or GED Preferred

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Obtain Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of hire, and maintain current status thereafter. Required
