The Food Services Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, food safety, and regulatory compliance of all OCCDA kitchens, ensuring food service activities meet Head Start Performance Standards, ECEAP Performance Standards and requirements, Washington State food safety requirements, USDA requirements, and Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) regulations. The position is responsible for the management and administration of the CACFP grant, including required documentation, reporting, monitoring, training, and compliance activities. The Coordinator provides guidance and operational support to kitchen staff and assists with kitchen coverage when able, while staffing supervision and personnel management remain the responsibility of designated supervisors.
As a member of the Leadership Team and an integral part of the content team, the Food Services Coordinator collaborates with program and fiscal staff to ensure children receive safe, nutritious, and developmentally appropriate meals. The position works closely with the Fiscal Department to coordinate monthly bulk food ordering, inventory, and distribution of food and supplies to each OCCDA kitchen. The Coordinator serves as a resource to agency staff regarding food service operations, nutrition, food safety, and CACFP requirements and performs other duties necessary to support the agency's food service program.
