Job summary

UNC Health Care in Holly Springs, NC is hiring a Food Service Worker to assist with preparing and serving food and to maintain a clean work area. Work is reviewed for adherence to sanitary standards and completion of assignments.

The position is full time (40 hours per week) with a day schedule, onsite at UNC Rex Holly Springs Hospital. No prior experience or licensure is required, and compensation ranges from $18.00 to $24.66 per hour, paid according to experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists with dirty food tray removal from nursing units.
• Assists with early and late food tray deliveries in a timely manner
• Assists with tray preparation and/or delivery and works to ensure tray accuracy, adherence to special diets and customer service
• Assists with tray preparation during meal service hours.
• Cleans and sanitizes kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas, including dish room; washes dishes by hand or by machine.
• Delivers food trays or nourishments to patient's rooms or nursing units.
• Maintains compliance with JCAHO, State Health Department, and OSHA regarding ongoing required job training and health standards
• Transfers food in kitchen and on patient trays in a timely manner and uses proper protocol (hair restraints, gloves, properly covers food to prevent contamination)
