Job summary

WellSpan Health at Ephrata Community Hospital is seeking a friendly food service associate for part-time shifts. You will prepare and serve meals, assemble patient trays, and help with cleaning and restocking in the cafeteria and retail locations.

The role emphasizes customer service and accurate cash handling when needed, with shifts 6:30am-3:00pm or 10:00am-6:30pm, every other weekend and holidays. Starting rate is $18.00/hour plus pay for experience, with benefits and growth opportunities.

Part Time: 40 Hours/Biweekly

Hours: 6:30am - 3:00pm or 10:00am - 6:30pm

Starting Rate: $18.00/hr + pay for experience

General Summary

Performs a variety of routine duties related to the preparation and serving of food, along with cleanup tasks, including provides outstanding customer service to patients, staff, and visitors; assembles and delivers patient trays; prepares equipment, foods and beverages and restocks for service in the cafeteria and other retail/café locations; cleans up after meals following established practices and procedures. May operate cash register as needed including receiving payments, balancing the cash drawer after each meal and compiling information for required reports.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

• None Required
• High School Diploma or GED Preferred

Work Experience

• Up to 1 month experience. Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to read, write, understand and speak English at a level which enables the individual to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job.
• Excellent interpersonal/communications skills and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and established procedures.
