Job summary

Maschio's Food Service Inc. is seeking a Food Service Worker for our school cafeteria operations. The role focuses on food preparation, serving students, and maintaining high sanitation standards in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in school food service, knowledge of HACCP and food safety, and the physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs. This is a day-shift, Monday through Friday position with summers off.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school cafeteria or institutional food service is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily food prep, including chopping, cooking, baking, and assembling meals.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely (ovens, slicers, dishwashers, etc.).
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, serving lines, storage areas and dining spaces.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations (HACCP standards).
• Provide friendly, patient service to students of all ages.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and securing equipment.
• Technical proficiency in running a POS system.
