  • Must meet safe/health requirements for food handlers; must possess a valid Food handler permit.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares, presents, and serves food following recipes and standards.
  • Washes, peels, cuts, and seeds vegetables and fruits; weighs and measures ingredients.
  • Transfers food to/from stations; stores foods with proper wrapping, dating, and rotation.
  • Cleans work areas, equipment, and utensils; distributes supplies and equipment.
  • Ensures proper quality, serving temperatures, and portion control; serves customers efficiently.
  • Resolves customer concerns and interacts with coworkers to meet service standards.
  • Maintains sanitation and safety requirements in the work environment.

  • Sunday-Thursday 10:00 AM-6:00 PM
  • Sunday-Thursday 5:00 PM-1:00 AM

SUMMARY:

Prepares, presents, and serves food by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Washes, peels, cuts, and seeds vegetables and fruits.

Weigh and measures designated ingredients.

Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator.

Properly stores foods in designated areas following wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures.

Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.

Distributes supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.

Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.

Serves customers in an efficient and friendly manner.

Resolves customer concerns.

Interacts with co-workers to ensure compliance with company service standards, and inventory and cash control procedures.

Assures compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must meet safe and local health requirements for food handlers. Must possess valid Food handlers permit.
