Food Service Worker - Tri-County Regional Jail

We are seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to join our team at Tri-County Regional Jail. In this role, you will assist with food and meal preparation, maintain accurate cash receipts and meal records, and support daily reporting. Upholding high standards of quality, sanitation, and safety in the kitchen is essential.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu.
2. Verify transactions and complete daily reports.
3. Ensure proper storage of food in a sanitary manner.
4. Serve food according to schedules and policies.
5. Care for kitchen equipment, especially knives.
6. Prepare a variety of food items and beverages timely.
7. Add garnishments for presentation and customer satisfaction.
8. Assist in cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and kitchen equipment.
9. Follow food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness.
10. Adhere to uniform and safety policies, including PPE usage if required.
11. Coordinate with the manager to understand daily menu requirements.
12. Supervise food temperature and maintain organized work areas.
13. Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and ware washing.
14. Maintain a neat and sanitary kitchen environment.
15. Perform additional duties as assigned.
