Job summary

Maschio's Food Service Inc. is seeking dependable substitute Food Service Workers to support school cafeteria operations at multiple locations within the district. This on-call role requires reliable transportation and willingness to travel between sites.

You will join a team delivering meals to students across the district with weekday day shifts and no weekend or holiday work. Responsibilities include food prep, serving, POS operation, stock rotation, dishwashing, and adherence to safety

Qualifications

• Flexible and available to work on an as-needed basis.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between school locations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team‑oriented environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Previous food service experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to obtain required documentation and clearances to work in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and meal assembly.
• Serve meals to students in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Operate the POS system and handle cashier duties.
• Stock, organize, and rotate food and supplies.
• Wash dishes and clean kitchen, serving, and dining areas.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist with other cafeteria duties as needed.
