**Job Description**

The Food Service Worker will assist the manager with food/meal preparation; maintain cash receipts and meal records; assist in completing daily reports; and uphold high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety. Location: Solano County Detention Center.

**Compensation:** The hourly rate for this position is $19.50. This range reflects Aramark's current estimate of the compensation as of the posting date.

**Job Responsibilities**

1. Prepare quality food and baked goods according to the menu.
2. Complete daily transaction reports.
3. Understand meal components.
4. Store food safely and hygienically.
5. Serve food per schedule and policies.
6. Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives.
7. Prepare various food items, beverages, and garnishments.
8. Assist in cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and kitchen equipment.
9. Follow food safety and sanitation regulations.
10. Adhere to uniform policy.
11. Coordinate with the manager for daily menu preparations.
12. Monitor food temperatures.
13. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
14. Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and ware washing.
15. Manage garbage and kitchen floor cleanliness.
16. Perform additional duties as assigned, including other kitchen areas.
17. This role may involve physical activity such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended standing, and require uniforms and PPE.
