$17.40 - $22.98 Hourly. The salary does not include an additional 5% premium granted to all King County employees, a 5% on-site 24/7 facility premium, or a 3% general wage increase effective July 1st, 2025.
The Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) is accepting applications for a Food Service Worker to assist in maintaining kitchen operations, supporting food preparation and service, and performing routine cleaning and sanitation duties.
You will provide nutritious meals to youth and staff in accordance with Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) standards. The Food Service Worker plays a crucial role in maintaining kitchen operations and cleanliness, supporting the team, and ensuring meal service runs smoothly. Additionally, the role involves teaching youth culinary skills and modeling strong work ethics, which helps prepare youth for a successful transition back into the community and supports their overall rehabilitation.
Experience or knowledge of kitchen and dining operations, including food handling, hygiene, sanitation, safety procedures, and proper use of kitchen equipment and utensils.
