Job Description

The Food Service Worker will assist the manager with food/meal preparation; maintain cash receipts and meal records. Assist manager in completing daily reports. Maintain high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices.

• Summer hours available for full time and part time employees

Location: Murray Park Elementary, Ripon, Wisconsin

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
• Prepare a daily report verifying transactions
• Understand what is included in a meal
• Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
• Serve food according to schedules and policies
• Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
• Timely preparation of various food items and beverages
• Add garnishments for customer satisfaction and visual appeal
• Assist in cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and kitchen equipment
• Follow all food safety regulations
• Adhere to uniform policy
• Connect daily with the manager to understand and prepare the menu
• Supervise food temperature requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and ware washing
• Maintain sanitation of garbage and kitchen floors
• Perform other duties as assigned, including other kitchen areas
• This role may involve physical demands like lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing. Uniforms and PPE may be required.
