Responsibilities

The Dietary Aide assists in meal service for patients, visitors, and staff. Key duties include:

  1. Providing customer service functions and taking orders courteously and efficiently.
  2. Preparing food according to schedule and procedures, maintaining work and service areas.
  3. Making suggestions to improve operations and maintaining equipment.
  4. Operating cash registers and adhering to sanitation and safety standards.
  5. Participating in cleaning and sanitation, including equipment and environment.
  6. Stocking supplies, adhering to HACCP, HIPAA, and food safety guidelines.
  7. Portioning, assembling, and delivering meals to patients following diet guidelines.
  8. Operating kitchen equipment and managing food delivery logistics.
  9. Recording temperatures and maintaining cleanliness of storage areas.
  10. Performing routine sanitation and safety checks, reporting hazards or repairs.
  11. Supporting other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays on a rotating schedule
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
