Essential Functions

Shifts can start as early as 6:00am and end as late as 8:00pm scheduled for 4- hour shifts or 8-hour shift

Work schedule assigned as posted and complete all duties outlines within assigned job flow

Job flows are subject to change at any time per operational needs and demands

Assigned tray line positions may change as needed based on operational needs and demands

  • Will be cross trained to be sceduled in various assignments
  • Weekends and some holidays required
  • Assembles food: Patient Trays, Individual Portions and Food Displays in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment. Stocks food and supplies.
  • Completes ware-washing/sanitizing dishes, glassware, silverware, utensils, pots and pans.
  • Cleans and sanitizes kitchen and service work areas, serving areas, and equipment and removes garbage, trash and grease from the department areas.
  • Regular, punctual attendance, Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.

Job Description

  • Maintain sufficient stock of all necessary assigned tray line items as required by the assigned position/job flow or management
  • Maintain all food safety and sanitation standards at all times of service and/or during periods of cold food preparation.
  • Ensure all prepared and packaged foods are labeled and dated to be consistent and food safety policies and procedures.
  • Utilize FIFO process to rotate all food items when completing stock. Ensure that expired food products are discarded
  • Before completing each shift, ensure the assigned area is stocked and rotated to supply the next meal service
  • Ensure Tray accuracy time
  • Provide Substitutes for any missing items that are unavailable, as directed by management
  • Monitor and record equipment, or tray line areas as indicated on the assigned position job flow or at the direction of management
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols. This includes but is not limited to patient safety, safety and sanitation, operational safety,
  • Complete any additional duties or assignments as directed by the manager or supervisor on duty; assigned duties may vary and may not be outlined within the assigned job flow.
