Ellsworth County Medical Center (ECMC) is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to join our Nutrition Services team! If you are passionate about food preparation and want to make a positive impact on patient care, we want you on our team!

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare food for patient meals and cafeteria service following established recipes and guidelines.

  • Complete pre-preparation tasks including salads, entrees, vegetables, starches, gravies, and desserts.

  • Set up carts for patient meal delivery.

  • Prepare and deliver patient snacks based on orders.

  • Assist with daily cleanup after meals and maintain ongoing cleanliness of the department.

  • Follow food safety regulations and sanitation procedures at all times.

  • Support a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment in accordance with all regulatory standards and hospital policies.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Prior experience in food service or healthcare nutrition is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Minimum age of 17 required. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

Relevant previous food service experience preferred.

  • Excellent skills in organization, prioritization, and multi-tasking.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to explain diverse technical problems in easy-to-understand language.

Certifications/Registrations:

Food Safety Certification preferred.
