Job summary

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center is hiring a Food Service Worker to support patient meals and dining services on site. You will assemble meals, maintain clean tray lines, and deliver to patient floors in a courteous, professional manner.

Qualifications

• 6 months previous food service experience preferred.
• Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position.

Responsibilities

• Assembles prepared food on trays for general and therapeutic diets.
• Maintains tray line in a clean, neat and orderly manner.
• Delivers food to patient floors as specified; returns trucks to dish room.
• Tends and loads dish machines; may wash pots and pans by hand.
• Delivers clean dishes and utensils to kitchen units.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment and floors.
• Transports food and supplies between locations.
• Collects and disposes of trash and garbage as needed.
• Adheres to department policies, safety, and infection control standards.
