Job summary

Trinity Services Group is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker for the Jefferson County Senior Nutrition Program, onsite inside a jail/correctional facility. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license not necessarily required for the position, and a commitment to food safety.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The ideal candidate is passionate about food service, a team player, adaptable to changes, and able to lift and stand for extended

Responsibilities

About This Position

This position will be working with the Jefferson County Senior Nutrition Program.

Part-time $16.00/hour M-F 6am-11am

Driver's License required

The Food Service Worker prepares and serves a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus within a correctional setting.

You will report to a Food Service Director. This position is located onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions promptly.
• The duties of the Food Service Worker include, but are not limited to, cleaning as you go and maintaining a neat and food safe workstation, which you will clean and maintain. These responsibilities also include pulling trash, sweeping, and mopping.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes.
• Abide by all food safety regulations about sanitation, food handling and storage.
• Perform routine kitchen tasks, while being organized and clean.
• You will have physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

• Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience. Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred:
  • Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
