Magee General Hospital is seeking a Food Service Worker to handle nutrition services across cafeteria and patient areas. Responsibilities include food preps, serving, and maintaining sanitation standards. Candidates should possess healthcare experience and preferably some post-secondary education for this rewarding role.
Position Purpose
- The Food Service Worker performs nutrition service functions throughout the cafeteria and patient food service areas. The Food Service Worker assists with food preparation and serving of food, sanitation of the kitchen, cleaning of utensils and dishes, rubbish disposal, stocks patient care floor nutrition items. The Food Service Worker prepares and delivers trays to patients in the care of the facility.

Requires lifting 0-50 lbs. Frequently
Education Requirements
- Some post-secondary education is preferred.
Experience Requirements
- One (1) year experience in healthcare and/or large-scale food preparation is strongly preferred.
Licensure/Certification Requirements
- National Restaurant Serve-Safe Certification is strongly preferred.
