Food Service Worker - NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital *Part-Time 15 hrs per week, Varied Days & Shifts (7A-3P, 11A-7P, 3P-7P), including Week-Ends, MUST BE FLEXIBLE*

Position Overview

This role involves ensuring patients receive appropriate nourishment, trays, and food selections under supervision. Responsibilities include updating patient menus, assisting with meal delivery, maintaining a clean work environment, and collaborating with dietitians.

Job Responsibilities

1. Perform assigned duties as directed.
2. Update and verify patient menus for accuracy and compliance with dietary needs.
3. Visit patients daily to assist with menus and dietary requirements.
4. Deliver patient nourishments and snacks, ensuring proper storage and cleanliness of refrigerators.
5. Participate in training and educational programs.
6. Consult with Clinical Dietitians and Supervisors regarding patient dietary needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to speak, read, and write English; capable of understanding and following instructions.

Preferred Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent preferred; A.A. in Nutrition or related field advantageous; prior experience on a tray assembly line preferred.
