Job description

**Job Description**

The Food Service Worker will assist the manager with food/meal preparation; maintain cash receipts and meal records; and assist in completing daily reports. Maintain high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices.

**Job Responsibilities**

1. Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu.
2. Prepare daily reports verifying transactions.
3. Understand meal inclusions.
4. Ensure food storage is accurate and sanitary.
5. Serve food according to schedules and policies.
6. Use and care for kitchen equipment, especially knives.
7. Timely preparation of various food items and beverages.
8. Add garnishments to enhance customer satisfaction and visual appeal.
9. Coordinate and assist in cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and equipment.
10. Adhere to food safety regulations for sanitation, handling, and storage.
11. Follow the uniform policy.
12. Connect daily with the manager to plan and prepare menus.
13. Supervise food temperature requirements.
14. Maintain a clean, organized work and storage area.
15. Sanitize counters, steam tables, and other equipment.
16. Follow procedures for cleanliness, including sweeping, mopping, and ware washing.
17. Maintain a neat and sanitary garbage and kitchen floor area.
18. Perform other assigned duties, including other kitchen areas.
19. This role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing, and may require uniforms and PPE.
