Base pay range

$24,448.00/yr - $24,448.00/yr

• Food Service Worker 1: $24,448/year (promotion to Food Service Worker 2 and pay raise after 6 months)
• Food Service Worker 2: $25,592/year (promotion to Food Service Worker 3 and pay raise after 12 months)
• Food Service Worker 3: $26,736/year

Job Summary

Under direct supervision, learns to prepare, heat, and finish cooking food items and serve customers. Learns how to receive and disburse money in a food service establishment. Cleans work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware.

Job Duties

• Clean work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware
• Clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs using manual and electric appliances
• Assist with food supply requisitions and sanitation inspections
• Receive payment for food items
• Replenish supplies at steam tables and service bars
• Store food in designated containers and areas to prevent spoilage
• Unpack and store supplies, raw and prepared food products

Minimum Qualifications

An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary skills to perform the job successfully.

Preferred Qualifications: Additional qualifications may be added by the agency.
