Job description

Job Title: Food Service Worker at Utah State Hospital

The Utah State Hospital is seeking to hire a full-time employee to prepare and serve food for both patients and staff at our campus. We are looking for a positive team member capable of preparing and serving over 1200 meals daily. The schedule after training is Sunday-Monday 10am-6:30pm, Tuesday-Wednesday off, Thursday-Saturday 4am-12:30pm.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Food handlers permit or ServSafe certificate.
  • Experience cooking in an institutional environment.
  • Experience preparing and setting up for catered events.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to adapt cheerfully to unforeseen changes such as staffing needs and menu adjustments.
  • Assist in maintaining food storage areas.
