Principle Job Duties
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing, cooking, and serving food efficiently while meeting budget and quality standards.
- Ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and County health regulations and OSHA standards for health, safety, and sanitation.
- Providing training and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities working and dining in the Cottage Café.
- Serving customers at the front counter by taking orders and operating the cash register.
Minimum Qualifications
- Possession of a current Utah County Food Handlers permit, with ongoing certification.
- At least one year of prior experience in the food industry.
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds or 1/4 of your body weight, with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Monitoring food quality, handling, and safety standards.
- Maintaining exemplary work habits.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of food preparation, handling, and sanitation techniques.
- Understanding of principles and practices of food safety and public health.
- Ability to maintain inventory and track materials.
- Proficiency in using cleaning agents, products, and equipment.
- Professional and sensitive communication skills.
- Possession of a current Utah County Food Handler's permit.
- Attention to detail and ability to observe surroundings and behaviors.
- Effective verbal communication of safety concerns.

Schedule
Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with weekends off. Schedule may change based on agency needs.
