Job summary

CentraCare Health in Willmar, MN is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker II to support dietary and patient meal service. You will participate in tray setup, food preparation, dishwashing, and cafeteria service while ensuring patient and staff satisfaction in a hospital setting.

The role includes weekend and holiday rotation, 64 hours per two weeks, with pay ranging from $16.70 to $22.75 per hour depending on experience and union membership requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ANSI CFP/CFP food safety training within 18 months (ServSafe or TAP).
• Ability to read, speak and write English.
• Follow oral and written instructions.
• Mathematical skills for clerical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Set up food items, work on tray lines and check patient trays before they leave the kitchen. Deliver and retrieve patient trays.
• Assist with preparing food items for patients.
• Clean and sanitize dishes for patients and cafeteria and clean the dish room at shift end.
• Provide customer service in cafeteria, stocking supplies and serving meals to customers.

Summary

• Setting up food items, working on tray lines and checking patient trays before they leave the kitchen.Delivering and retrieving patient trays.
• Assisting with preparing food items for patients.
• Cleaning and sanitizing dishes for patients and cafeteria and cleaning the dish room at the end of the shift.
• Providing customer service in cafeteria area including stocking supplies and serving meal items to customers.

Schedule

• Part-time position | 64 hours per two weeks.
• Various shifts between 6:00AM and 6:30PM, 8-hour shifts
• Includes every other weekend & Holiday rotation.

Pay and Benefits

• $16.70 or more per hour, pay determined by experience.

  • This is a Union position, and you will be required to join the AFSCME 3296 Union within 30 days from start.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Within first 1 ½ year of employment, Food safety Training accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Conference for Food Protection (CFP).Can be ServSafe or TAP Series.
• Must have the ability to read, speak and write English.
• Follow oral and written instructions.

• Mathematical skills required to complete clerical tasks.
