Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is hiring a Porter/Dishwasher to support food service operations. You will wash dishes, take out trash, sweep and mop floors, and assist with meal assembly and service in a hospital setting.

This Full Time role requires flexibility for rotating weekends and holidays and the ability to work AM and PM shifts. A High School Diploma or GED is required, and no prior experience is necessary to start.

Role Purpose

Responsible for performing a variety of food service functions such as setting up of service areas with food, utensils, and garnishments, food portioning, serving, sanitation, operating cash register, assembling patient trays and assisting with customer requests. Position may also perform food preparation at some locations.
