Join to apply for the FOOD SERVICE WORKER I (Partial Year) role at UGA Savannah River Ecology Laboratory.

This is a benefits-eligible, partial-year position (9-11 months of the year), with a starting date of 07/21/2025. The role involves manual and semi-skilled food service duties, including serving foods, cleaning facilities, and preparing meals in dining hall or kitchen settings.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting kitchen staff with food preparation and serving
  • Maintaining cleanliness of work and dining areas
  • Operating food service equipment

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a department-sponsored food safety training within 6 months of hire

Physical demands include: moving loads up to 50 lbs, working in noisy and hot/cold environments, and standing for long hours.

The position does not involve driving, financial resource control, or direct care responsibilities. Background checks and other pre-employment screenings are required.
