Job Description Overview
The Food Service Worker position is located at a higher education setting. Responsibilities include preparing and serving food according to daily menus and recipes, engaging with students, teachers, and parents, and opportunities to learn culinary skills for career advancement. Essential Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items following recipes.
• Prepare raw ingredients for cooking.
• Follow the guidance of the Culinary Lead.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team.
• Cook and assemble menu items as specified.
• Maintain organization and stock in the kitchen.
• Clean and maintain utensils and work areas.
• Interact with students and teachers to provide excellent service.
• Ensure cleanliness of service areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Report workplace issues to the Culinary Lead.
• Must be flexible and team-oriented.

Qualifications include 1-3 years of experience in food service or customer service in a high-volume environment, a positive attitude, punctuality, physical ability to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs, and a commitment to our mission of enhancing student well-being through food. Ability to work in a school environment is required.
