Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is hiring a Food Services Worker in Illinois for full-time rotating shifts, including 7:30AM-4PM and 3PM-11:30PM, with every-other-weekend work. You will prepare cold items, take room service orders, assemble trays, ensure safety and sanitation, and perform data entry in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepares cold food items for patients and cafeteria.

• Complete tray assembly.
• Ensures food meets all safety and sanitary regulations and completes all required documentation.
• Data entry using Microsoft Excel.
• Basic cash handling.
• Maintains a safe, clean, neat and orderly cooking area.
• Ensures all department policies and programs are adhered to.
• Ensure satisfaction in quality and service using problem resolution skills as necessary.
• Completes daily position checklists, cleaning duties and all required documentation.
• Washes and sanitizes all food service equipment used for patients and cafeteria service.

The salary range for this position is $17.05 - $22.17 (Hourly Rate)

Placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range is guided by the rules outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.

Must be able to work both 7:30AM-4PM and 3PM-11:30PM

Including working every other weekend.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with putting away stock using the FIFO (first in, first out) method.
• Cleans and sanitizes cafeteria service items.
• Cleans dish machine at end of shift.
• Cleans and sanitizes work area.
• Cleans and sanitizes food service carts.
