Unidine is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time Food Service Worker positions in Saline, MI. The roles cover 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, 11:00 am - 8:00 pm, and 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm with rotating days and weekends.

Prior customer service and food service experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, and training may be provided. Pay ranges from $15.50 to $16.00 per hour, with benefits available through Unidine and Compass Group.

Qualifications

• Willing to train may be provided to new hires.
• Experience with high-volume dining operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.
• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Moves pans, kettles and trays safely between stations.
• Stores food with proper dating and rotation.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies and portable equipment.
• Adheres to recipes and production standards for quality and portions.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner and addresses concerns.
• Ensures sanitation and safety compliance and cash control procedures.

Job Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
