Compass Group USA is hiring a Food Service Worker for South Windsor Public Schools, 1737 Main Street, Hartford, CT 06120. Both full-time and part-time positions are available with a 7:00 am to 2:00 pm schedule. Online applications are accepted.

As a Food Service Worker you will prepare and serve food, assist customers, maintain cleanliness, and follow safety and cash handling procedures. The role includes associate benefits and a fixed pay rate of $16.94 per hour.

Qualifications

• Prior experience handling customer transactions and operating the cash register.
• Experience in food preparation and maintaining cleanliness.
• Flexibility to work full-time or part-time schedules.

Responsibilities

• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.

• Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
