A leading medical center is seeking a Dishwashing staff member responsible for maintaining cleanliness and timely dish service for patients. The role requires a High School Diploma and a Food Handler's permit, focusing on efficient operation and sanitation in the kitchen area. Your contributions will ensure a high standard of safety and hygiene in food services.
JOB SUMMARY: Maintains an adequate supply of clean dishes for both patients and non-patient food service on a timely basis and mops, sweeps floor and empties trash in accordance with approved sanitation and safety guidelines/procedures.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
2. Food Handler's permit required or must be obtained.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/OTHER ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Operates dish machine according to policy and procedures.
2. Washes pots and pans according to policy and procedures.
3. Notifies supervisor when recording data such as sanitizing levels, dish machine temperatures, food temperatures are out of range.
4. Delivers trays to patients accurately and in a timely manner.
5. Lines trays as appropriate to the position.
6. Cleans assigned equipment and areas according to cleaning schedules posted.
7. Maintains a high standard of cleanliness.
8. Washes hands appropriately throughout shift.
9. Wears gloves and changes gloves according to policy.
10. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
11. Gives regard to proper garbage disposal.
12. Disposes of trash and boxes properly.
13. Assists with putting stock away, using the first in first out method.
14. Sweeps and mops floors and uses wet floor signs.
15. Uses cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer's guidelines.
16. Uses required Personal Protective Equipment per policy and procedure.
17. Maintain regular attendance.
