Job summary

Chartwells Higher Ed in Moscow, Idaho, is seeking a grill cook to prepare, present and serve food on a day-shift schedule. The role requires adherence to safety standards and quality controls, with responsibility for prep, cooking and serving.

We offer full- and part-time opportunities with pay ranging from $16.50 to $18.00 per hour, depending on experience. Grill cook experience is preferred, and a focus on customer service is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, washes, peels, cuts and seeds fruits and vegetables as part of prep work.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients for recipes.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays to and from work stations while following safety standards.
• Stores food in designated areas with proper wrapping, dating and rotation.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils to maintain hygiene.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed.
• Uses approved recipes and production standards for quality and portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following service steps.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with service standards, inventory and cash control procedures.
• Adheres to sanitation and safety requirements; performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
