Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services is hiring for a Food Service Worker at CSU Fullerton. The role involves preparing, presenting and serving food with attention to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Able to perform prep tasks, assist with service, maintain clean work areas, and follow all sanitation guidelines. Full-time and part-time positions are available with varying shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Front of house cleaning/sanitizing experience preferred.
• Food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.
• Performs prep work: wash, peel, cut, seed fruits/vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays per safety standards.
• Stores food with proper wrapping, dating and rotation.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies and portable equipment.
• Uses approved recipes to ensure quality and portions.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Relays customer concerns to supervisor for resolution.
• Complies with service standards, inventory and cash control.
• Adheres to sanitation and safety requirements.

Job Basics

• We are hiring immediately for a full and part time FOOD SERVICE WORKER position.
• Address: 1509 E. Campus Drive, Fullerton, CA 92831 Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full and part time schedule; Varying days and hours. Open availability preferred. AM/PM Weekdays and Weekends. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Previous customer service, front of house cleaning/sanitizing and food service experience are preferred.
• Pay Range: $16.90 per hour to $20.00.
• Location: CSU Fullerton

Job Summary

Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
