The salary range for this position is $16.50 - $21.45 (Hourly Rate). Placement within the salary range depends on relevant work experience and internal equity. For union positions, placement is guided by the collective bargaining agreement.

Description

The Food Services Worker reflects our mission, vision, and values, adhering to our Code of Ethics, Corporate Compliance Program, and all relevant policies and standards.

• Prepares cold food items and supports various activities.
• This is a casual position with variable hours; no benefits are provided.
• Most shifts start at 12 noon or 3 pm.
• Every other weekend work is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cold food for patients and cafeteria.
• Take Room Service orders and assist patients and families as needed.
• Complete tray assembly and ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met.
• Perform data entry in Microsoft Excel and handle basic cash transactions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Adhere to department policies and resolve service issues effectively.
• Complete daily checklists, cleaning duties, and documentation.
• Sanitize equipment and work areas, and restock supplies using FIFO method.
• Demonstrate independent judgment and assist with stock management.
• Perform dishwashing and sanitizing tasks.

Qualifications

Required:

• Excellent customer service and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work under stress and take appropriate actions.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 12 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds.

Preferred:

• One year of customer service experience.
• Knowledge of diet restrictions.
