The purpose of the Child and Youth Program (CYP) Food Service Worker position is to perform a variety of food preparation and food service tasks for the CYP. This position is located in a Child Development Center (CDC) but may assist with food preparation for the School Age Care (SAC) Program.
The CYP Food Service Worker performs various tasks in food service preparation, including:
Conditions include passing background checks, a pre-employment physical, immunizations, and maintaining security clearance. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods is required. Must be 18 or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with food handling, measuring ingredients, basic arithmetic, sanitation standards, and effective communication skills are required. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of diet principles and ability to develop recipes.
H.S. Diploma or equivalent. Submission of diploma or transcripts is mandatory when applying.
Employment is subject to drug testing and background checks, including criminal and child abuse history. The role requires compliance with federal regulations and security procedures.
