Food Service Worker CDH Casual Second shift

Description

The Food Services Worker reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

This is a casual position, meaning hours are not guaranteed. No benefits provided.

Hours needed: Start times between 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM, end time at 8:30 PM. Every other weekend is required, plus 1-2 shifts during the week as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares cold food items for patients and cafeteria.
  • Take Room Service orders, including employee, patient, and family-initiated orders, and those requiring assistance.
  • Complete tray assembly.
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation, and complete all required documentation.
  • Perform data entry using Microsoft Excel.
  • Handle basic cash transactions.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Adhere to all department policies and programs.
  • Ensure quality and service satisfaction, resolving issues as needed.
  • Complete daily checklists, cleaning duties, and documentation.
  • Participate in mandatory trainings and meet health requirements.
  • Wash and sanitize food service equipment.
  • Restock items using FIFO method.
  • Clean and sanitize cafeteria items, dish machine, work area, and food carts.
  • Exercise independent judgment when necessary.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Excellent customer service and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work under stress and take appropriate actions.
  • Physical demands include lifting/carrying up to 12 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.

Preferred:

  • One year of customer service experience.
  • Familiarity with diet restrictions.
