Description

The Food Services Worker reflects NM's mission, values, and adheres to the Code of Ethics and compliance standards.

  • Prepares cold food items and supports various activities.

Note: This is a casual position with variable hours and no benefits.

Hours are 4:30 PM - 8:30 PM, every other weekend.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare cold food for patients and cafeteria.
  • Take Room Service orders, assist patients and families.
  • Complete tray assembly and ensure food safety compliance.
  • Perform data entry in Microsoft Excel and basic cash handling.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to department policies and resolve service issues.
  • Complete checklists, cleaning duties, and documentation.
  • Sanitize equipment and work areas.
  • Assist with stock management using FIFO.
  • Demonstrate independent judgment when needed.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Excellent customer service and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work under stress and take appropriate action.
  • Physical demands include lifting up to 12 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.
Preferred:
  • One-year customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of diet restrictions.
