+ We are hiring immediately for a part-time FOOD SERVICE WORKER/CASHIER position.

+ Location: Jefferson Memorial Hospital - 110 Hospital Drive, Jefferson City, TN 37760. Note: online applications accepted only.

+ Schedule: Part-time; hours may vary. Weekends only. More details upon interview.

+ Requirement: No prior experience required.

+ Pay Range: $14.00 to $15.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Performs cashiering duties and general food service work. Maintains sanitation standards in food preparation, service, and dining areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables. Measures ingredients.
2. Carries pans, kettles, and trays safely; distributes supplies and utensils.
3. Stores foods properly, adhering to safety, wrapping, dating, and rotation protocols.
4. Maintains cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and utensils.
5. Ensures compliance with sanitation and safety standards.
6. Uses approved recipes and standards to ensure quality and portion control.
7. Serves customers efficiently and courteously, following service procedures.
8. Interacts with customers and resolves complaints professionally.
9. Relays relevant information to supervisors.
10. Handles sales transactions accurately, including making change and accepting various payment methods.
11. Issues receipts and processes refunds following standard procedures.
12. Manages cash drawer, ensuring compliance with overage/shortage standards.
13. Replenishes condiments, beverages, and supplies; maintains cleanliness of the service area.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.
