We are hiring immediately for an on-call FOOD SERVICE WORKER/CASHIER position.

Location: Hudson Public Schools - 155 Apsley Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: On-call; days and hours may vary. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Prior kitchen and cashier experience is preferred.

Pay Range: $16.00 to $16.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Performs cashiering duties, including general food service work. Maintains sanitation standards in food preparation, service, and dining areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables. Weighs and measures ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, following safety standards. Distributes supplies, utensils, and equipment.
• Stores foods properly, following safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Ensures compliance with sanitation and safety standards.
• Uses approved recipes and standards to ensure quality, temperature, and portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following service steps.
• Interacts with customers and resolves complaints amicably.
• Relays relevant information to supervisors.
• Performs sales transactions, enters sales into the register, makes change, and accepts various payment methods.
• Issues receipts and handles cash refunds following standard procedures.
• Manages assigned cash funds and receipts, ensuring accuracy.
• Replenishes condiments, beverages, and supplies, maintaining cleanliness.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
