Job Summary

Performs cashiering duties, including general food service work. Maintains sanitation standards in the preparation, service, and dining room facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables. Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
2. Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator, following safety standards. Distributes supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
3. Stores foods in designated areas, following wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
4. Cleans work areas, equipment, and utensils.
5. Ensures compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
6. Uses approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
7. Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner, following the steps of service.
8. Interacts with customers and resolves complaints in a friendly, service-oriented way.
9. Relays relevant information to supervisor.
10. Performs sales transactions, enters sales into the cash register, makes change, accepts declining balance cards, and issues receipts.
11. Follows procedures for cash refunds.
12. Manages assigned change funds and cash receipts, ensuring compliance with overage/shortage standards.
13. Replenishes condiments, beverages, and supplies while maintaining cleanliness.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.
