• We are hiring immediately for full-time FOOD SERVICE WORKER/CASHIER positions.
• Location: MUSC Ashley River Tower - 25 Courtenay Drive, Charleston, SC 29425. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time; Monday through Friday, 3:30 pm to 12:30 am. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: No prior experience required. Willing to train!
• Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Performs cashiering duties, including general food service work. Maintains sanitation standards in the preparation, service, and dining room facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables. Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards. Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
• Store foods in designated areas following wrapping, dating, and food safety procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Use approved food recipes and production standards for quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Relay relevant information to supervisor.
• Perform sales transactions and enter sales into the cash register.
• Make change, accept declining balance cards and other payment methods.
• Issue receipts and handle cash refunds following standard procedures.
• Manage change funds and cash receipts, ensuring compliance with overage/shortage standards.
• Replenish condiments, beverages, and supplies while maintaining cleanliness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
