Description

Ellington Public Schools Food Service Department is seeking applicants for a Food Service Worker/Cashier at Ellington Middle School, 3.9 hours per day, Monday‑Friday, 19.5 hours per week. Starting Rate: $17.74/hr. This is a 10‑month position following the school calendar.

Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to serving lunch, operating kitchen equipment, using a computer cash register, portioning lunch items, accepting deliveries, daily production record keeping, and cleaning. While performing the duties of this position, applicants must be able to stand, walk, and move items weighing 40 pounds as needed. Successful applicants must be able to take direction and work independently. Candidate must be willing to travel between schools if required.
