Overview

Under direct supervision, learns to prepare, heat, and finish cooking food items and serve customers. Receives and disburses money, cleans work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware.

Responsibilities

• Cleans work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware
• Prepares food using manual and electric appliances
• Assists with food supply requisitions and sanitation inspections
• Receives payment for food items
• Replenishes supplies at steam tables and service bars
• Stores food properly to prevent spoilage
• Unpacks and stores supplies and raw or prepared food products

Qualifications
