Food Service workers perform a variety of duties, including but not limited to:

  1. Automated dishwashing
  2. Checking IDs
  3. Serving food on the line
  4. Attending to a salad bar
  5. Cleaning and busing tables

Some duties involve regular customer contact, while others do not. We will help you learn the job duties, reach your full potential, and achieve social acceptance and integration.

Since 1998, Goodwill Great Lakes has provided essential food service to Navy Sailors & Recruits. We operate several galleys (cafeterias) at Naval Station Great Lakes. Every day, our team prepares and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, totaling over 9 million meals annually. We take pride in our work and service to the Navy Sailors & Recruits.
