The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Division of State-Operated Specialty Care, Bureau of Independence Mental Health Institute (IMHI) is seeking a Food Service Worker to join our team. This is a full-time position working a varied schedule of four 10-hour shifts per work week including holidays and alternating weekends.

As a member of the Dietary Department, the Food Service Worker performs manual food service tasks, cleans dietary items and areas, sets up lines and carts, and

• Background check required.
• No specific education or experience requirements.
• Ability to work a four 10-hour shift schedule including holidays and some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual food service in meal serving and line setup.
• Clean and sanitize dietary items and areas in the department.
• Set up food service lines and hot carts, assist with serving on tray lines.
• Support wards living units with food service as needed.
