Join to apply for the FOOD SERVICE WORKER 1 (100% FTE, DAYS) role at UW Medicine.

Harborview - Food and Nutrition has an outstanding opportunity for a Food Service Worker 1.

Work Schedule: 100% FTE, Days, Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:30-7:00 pm; Saturday and Sunday from 11:30-8:00 pm; Tuesday and Wednesday off.

Position Highlights: Performs routine work in preparing and serving espresso beverages and food items, cleaning activities, and customer service duties such as greeting customers, maintaining checkout areas, and restocking supplies.

Department Details: Supports UW Medicine's mission by delivering compassionate care, excellent customer service, and nutritious food for patients, families, and the community.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  1. Receive payment by credit cards, cash, or vouchers
  2. Issue refunds
  3. Answer customer questions
  4. Maintain orderly and clean checkout areas
  5. Greet customers entering cafeterias
  6. Provide exceptional customer service
  7. Ensure checkout stations are fully stocked
  8. Prepare coffee
  9. Restock merchandise
  10. Clean and wipe tables

Required Qualifications: Possession of, or eligibility to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks of employment.
